Cradle Cap: Flaking of dead cells from the scalp commonly suffered by newborn and young babies. gentle treatment of cradle cap is required to protect baby's delicate skin or mild medications can be used.
Irritant Contact Dermatitis: Symptoms are red, swollen and itchy skin caused by contact with an irritant such as soap, chemicals or detergent.
Allergic Contact Dermatitis: Causes a rash after contact with an 'allergen' (something you are allergic to) such as rubber, hair dye or nickel, a compound commonly found in jewellery. The main way to prevent rashes from allergic contact dermatitis is to avoid contact with the allergen and seek medical help.
Dermatitis Herpetiformis: Is a rash associated with sensitivity to the protein, gluten which is found in cereal grains such as corn and wheat. The symptoms can be alleviated using antibiotics but it is sensible to avoid foods that contain gluten.
