It is a pleasant smelling, greaseless, topical gel made from botanicals that provides an easy yet affordable way to soften and smooth scars resulting from cuts, scrapes, stitches, burns, insect bites and surgery. You can start using Mederma for Kids as soon as the wound has closed or healed. Kids will think it's cool because it goes on purple and then disappears! It can also be used on older scars immediately to help soften and reduce their bumpy appearance.
MEDERMA for Kids is a non-toxic product that is safe for kids two and older. However, if your child experiences severe itching, swelling, or scar discolouration, discontinue use immediately. If symptoms persist, contact your doctor.
Apply a thin coat of Mederma for Kids to the scar and gently massage in 3 times per day for 8 weeks on new scars and 3 times a day for 3 to 6 months on existing scars. For external use only. Not intended for use on open wounds. This product should only be used under adult supervision.
